    Youtube...gettin' serious!

    Just got this notice about a video I UL'd to Youtube not that long ago. This is gettin' ridiculous, but it looks like they're allowing it to stay:

      Well, wasn't youtube supposed to be entirely independent work?

      I don't see why anyone would have issue with them telling you to pull down a video with licensed music.

                      It's stupid but this isn't anything new. You might not have gotten a message sent to you about it but alot of other people have.

                                      I'm not saying it isn't stupid. I understand the frustration. But, your post made it seem like they shouldn't be telling you to take down the video.

                                      Youtube has every right to do so if they want to avoid being sued.

                                      Now, if you're talking about their consistency, or lack of, then I totally agree on that front. They seem to go after certain videos and not others.

                                      NBC had their huge raid at one point and yet I still find NBC SNL videos from other poeple on youtube. They just pick and choose.

                                          Sorry...I'm tired...been fasting all day. Yes, it's the lack of consistency. But you're right. They have a right to do anything they want.
