Right on. I've always thought he came off as a guy like that. My wife had to edit an interview with him, so she so the whole thing, and said that he was cracking jokes whenever they got distracted.

Yeah, and the cool thing about him is he is very approachable. At least he was a Kent State.

One day my buddy was interviewing him (he was the sports editor for the kent stater) and my buddy asked him if he saw himself in the NBA. He said no man Im gonna play in the NFL. We both kinda chuckled and he said hey im serious. We feel like jackasses now. lol

The only two sports icons I would honestly be in awe over by being around them would be Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan.

I met Muhammad Ali last year when I was working for the Orange Bowl (he came to help raise money for Louisville's football stadium, along with Papa John) and I have a picture or two with him. I didn't know what to say, he was in such a frail state. He still had that fire in his eyes, and you could tell he was thinking about everything in the room, but his body was trembling the majority of the time and he struggled to even speak.

My dad and brother got to go to a speech to a small group of people by Barack Obama last spring, and actually got to talk with him for a little bit. They said he remembered their names and a thing or two about them as they said their goodbyes. Pretty impressive as a person and a politician.


One guy I'd really like to meet and just soak up knowledge from is John Wooden. That guy is a legend, and is probably the greatest coach of any sport, all time.
