    HDMI Cable Quality and switches???

Okay, I need some help with something......

Over the past few years in putting together my home entertainment system I fear that I may have spent a butt load of money that may have not been absolutely necessary. I'd say that 90% of my wiring is comprised of Monster brand cables.

While looking through the search feature I've seen a few threads on here where HDMI cables were the subject. Several people stated that there's no difference between a $10 and a $70 HDMI cable. Is this an accurate statement?? I have the need to buy a new HDMI cable for a PS3 that I just bought and would love to save some money in the process.

This leads to my next question. Can someone recommend a good HDMI switch?? My TV only has one HDMI port but I have 2 components with HDMI. By using a switch, is there any loss in picture quality??

    Thanks guys

HDMI cables are all the same, it's digital, so it's always all or nothing.

    I have this one, http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Av24502...2440300&sr=8-2

But I paid no where near what it's going for now.

      Thanks Extreme!!

      Ouch, that switch is expensive

I found this one online http://www.meritline.com/3-ports-hdm...th-remote.html for a much more reasonable price. Any idea if this would give me good performance, no loss of video quailty??

Monoprice rocks! I ordered all of my cables from them.

That's where I purchased all my HDMI cables, plus the 5 port HDMI switch to boot.

One of the links a little bit ago in Steve's morning posts had an article on HDMI cables. Experts stated there was no visible difference between the generic $10 cable and the the super extra awesome $200 cable.

I just ordered 2 HDMI cables and a 5x1 port HDMI switch that had very high user reviews on monoprice.com

Saved a butt load of money in the process. I'll definitely buy all of my future wiring from them!!!

This switch looks good and it's only $40.
