Man, that sucks...he was always a cool actor. I even liked him in Seaquest DSV, a show not many watched lol.

Wow...that's sad to hear. I certainly remember him from the Jaws movies but I also remember his work in 2010 and Tiger Town.

          RIP, Roy!

One of the better character type actors around. I remember him mostly for JAWS and 2010.

I liked him in the French Connection as well as Jaws and 2010. And the guy was smart enough to avoid Jaws 3 and Jaws Revenge. RIP.

Really saddened to hear this. I know he had been sick for a while, but it's still shocking. Of course, I'll always remember him most from Jaws. His Chief Martin Brody was a childhood hero of mine, the same way that many boys idolized the characters of John Wayne or Steve McQueen. It's a great, understated performance and he carries the movie effortlessly.

I'll also remember him for The French Connection, All That Jazz and Sorcerer. Even on a film like Blue Thunder, which has not aged well at all, he comes across as the perfect Everyman, the kind of guy you'd like for a friend, to have a few beers with. A classy guy and a man's man.

R.I.P. Roy. You were one of the good guys.
