Man Voltron, transformers, and Silver Hawks were my favs. The quality of cartoons and really went down now the characters are have assed drawn and dumb humor no real heros. You have to turn to anime for that now.

He-Man was never a Saturday morning cartoon for me. I got it 5 days a week on our local eventual Fox affiliate (Fox wasn't a network yet, if I remember right). He-Man was an after-school cartoon for me growing up. Same as Transformers and G.I. Joe. In fact...I'm pretty sure that was my after school lineup.Comment

Re: THIS was the reason you got up at 6am on a Saturday Morning.
Y'know as a young whippersnapper I could never get up for school but on Saturdays i'd be up at 5 AM and ready for the cartoons! I so remember sitting in front of the TV and watching the toons while eating my cereal.
Yes, most of the cartoons at that time were nothing more then 24 minute commercials but they were GOOD commercials damnit!
I also enjoyed watching the WB cartoons like Bugs Bunny. It's a shame in the US that they've practically stopped showing that as CN and BOOMERANG hasn't shown any of that stuff in almost 2 years I believe. At least here in Canada we still get some of that on the new Teletoon Retro channel.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Sorry guys...it wasn't the 80's and sorry caps...it wasn't the 60's. The 70's, like the rock and roll, ruled the cartoon eras!!! HEY HEY HEY!!!

"Land Of The Lost" Rocked!!!!!!
Except for Season 3.
Uncle Jack, the family living on the Sleestak's front porch, a fire-breathing dinosaur that eats coal and a Pacuni that speaks perfect English was a bit too much.Last edited by HiJumpr111; 02-12-2008, 04:01 PM.Congratulations BUTLER BULL DOGS!

There was also a cartoon, or a series of cartoons rather, but I can't remember the name of the block. I do know that it would feature Mighty Mouse, and there was also one that featured a couple of woodland animals ( I think one was a beaver-maybe it was a groundhog or a mole, and a racoon, I don't remember) and they would do things to piss off this dog that ran a jail out in the woods. If anyone remembers that let me know. This was around the mid 80s.Comment

For the younger OS guys on this board who aren't familiar with Voltron....
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are a COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIPOFF of Voltron..only gayer.
It's almost to the letter a complete carbon copy of Voltron, except that Voltron was a kickazz show and Power Rangers is grade A crap.AUBURN TIGERS
