    Laptop Battery Help

I have a lenovo and when I landed in New Zealand, it worked perfectly. For 3 weeks, though, I never used it here in Oz since I didnt have the internet at home. Well, now the battery wont charge even though Ive left it plugged in for a few nights/days in a row. Only when its plugged in the wall does it work.

It died in 3 weeks? Sounds absurd.

The Lenovo is only 7 mths old.

Also, when plugged in it says that its at 83% and not charging. I cant go unplugged, tho.

Any ideas? Maybe recalibrate (no clue how tho)?

    Re: Laptop Battery Help

Take it to a professional repair person.

It may not be the battery. It might be the "port" when you connect the plug into the computer.

Laptops are bad like that. I've gone through about 4 laptops in the past 4-5 years. What I was told that when you constantly plug in and plug out the cord, it wears on that "port" on the laptop so it gets kind of loose, therefore the battery does not get fully charged and hence, dies.

I've been there. You need to take it to a pro who will more than likely charge you just to have a look at it.
