I like both as well. And yes, I like Larry The Cable Guy and Bill Engvall.

Jeff Dunham is hysterical as well.

Achmed(sp?) the dead terrorist. I personally like Walter and Bubba J.

I like them all but achmed was hilarious.

About time someone mentioned Bill Hicks. Hands down the best stand up ever. Had he lived, he would've been legendary. Every other comedian with the exception of a few (Carlin, Lewis Black, Doug Stanhope, Lenny Bruce) couldn't hold his jock.

About time someone mentioned Bill Hicks. Hands down the best stand up ever. Had he lived, he would've been legendary. Every other comedian with the exception of a few (Carlin, Lewis Black, Doug Stanhope, Lenny Bruce) couldn't hold his jock.

I forgot all about Bill Hicks. One of my favorites of all time.

I've only heard Bill Hicks on Youtube, but he's a pretty dark comedian. I love dark humor, but I remember feeling depressed from his comedy more than laughing. Maybe I need to give it another shot or something...

Bill was much more than just a stand up telling dumb jokes and doing impressions, which is what most hacks do. He really was a social commentator with a dark side. He didn't sugar coat anything, just told you the dark ironic truth about what was really happening. And for that reason, he wasn't really popular, at least not here in the states. He was huge in the UK tho...he used to talk about doing a month of sold out shows at 3000 seat theaters in England only to come home to get booed at some "Bob's Laugh Shack".

So yeah, if you just wanna laugh at some jokes, then that Blue Collar Hee-haw crap is good. But Bill and those that follow in his footsteps are doing something more important than just telling jokes, they make you think and question as well.

My favorite comedian is a tie between Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David with Larry David bieng just a smidgeon in front of Seinfeld.
