When is congress going to hold these hearings?

There is a problem in the MLB, NFL, WWE, etc. But @ least they are trying, or present the image of trying, to get rid of drugs in sports.

But what about Hollywood & the music industry? I bing this up because of this article: http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/tha...6/#postcomment . I'm particulary angry @ the vile hurled @ Natalie Cole. If you don't know, Mrs Cole had several battles w/drug addiction before she finally got sober. So she knows the danger. She rightly criticized the academy for awarding Amy Winehouse. Not only because of her being a junkie, but that she actually sings a song of defiance towards getting cleaned up. Yet, the writer of the article jumps @ Natalie. She makes like no one would get awarded if people w/drugs were disqualified.

Which is the problem. Addicts are so interwoven in movies & music, getting high is considered normal. So when Heath Ledger OD's, or Brittany Spears puts her kids in danger, or Lindsey Lohan enters rehab multiple times before she can legally drink, they are almost applauded for it. They become even more popular.

Why is this acceptable? Especially when congress is holding hearings & telling baseball & wrestling to get their acts together?

To my knowledge, there is no move to make Tom Cruise or Justin Timberlake start peeing in a cup or lose their contracts. There are rumors that stars even have it in their contracts to be supplied w/a certain amount of blow. If congress wants to start going after pro sports to protect kids, then its time they start going where the problem is more serious: the studio.
