      Nobody likes a quiter.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find out he's dead. No one has seen him in months, and then he reveals he is "retiring" by sending a letter.

What a dynasty! Led Cuba during the Eisenhower, JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, and Bush 2 admins. Might have left one out.

Either Castro's dead or he's in dire straits. I expect the Cuban regime to slowly lose grip of power the way the Commies in the USSR started losing power when the old guard kept dying in what seemed like every 2 weeks in the late 1970s.

BTW to call Cuba a truly Communist state would be stretching it. Yes Castro did some terrible things but he's not even the worst leader in the region! Anywho, I predict younger more democratic leaning groups gaining power in 2 years tops.

I still don't understand the embargo. China is a communist country yet they import the most and we've borrowed billions of dollars from them.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I think it has something to do with the Cold War/Bay of Pigs/etc...

Political talk is allowed? My infraction from a couple of months ago says no.

Anyways, I don't think anything will change in Cuba for awhile. The power is staying in the family for the time being. But maybe this will finally get us to lift the stupid trade embargo. I doubt it, though.

The embargo isn't going away anytime soon.

I know. That was a more of a hopeful comment than real one.
