    Microsoft sabotage of Firefox?

Hey all, I've got a question about Firefox and Windows XP. Often when I leave my computer unattended for a while and have Firefox open, when I come back and move my mouse I'll see the "Are you sure you want to close 5 tabs?" message from Firefox, as if I just told my computer to close Firefox.

Even if I say NO or CANCEL Firefox still closes and I lose what I was working on. I know it may be the conspiracy geek in me but it's odd that this same thing never happens when I leave Internet Explorer as my last browser used.

Does anyone know if this is Gates sabotaging Firefox or what in Sam Hill is going on here? Maybe there's some setting somewhere that I have wrong.

It's all in your head... or... it's just an error specific to you. As for what it is, I can't help as I am not very smart about these things.

      no clue...

One random guess to throw something out there: Could it have something to do with the automatic windows updates? Is it trying to shut down somehow, but Firefox is making it unhappy with the tab close warning?

I doubt it, but that's all I can come up with right now.

May have to re-install firefox IMO. I used to get quircky problems like that. Bookmarks gone, 2 seperate toolbar folders (adding it to one, will add it with no name even if I put one in).

That's my only suggestion, other than posting in there forums and see if they have any ideas. I haven't posted there in a while, but for something very random, I think that would be your best bet.

Did you have the box checked off that says "Close this program when porn is finished downloading"?
