Are there programs that equalize MP3 sound levels?

I have an array of MP3s on my player that have different loudness... When running or doing something where I can't actively change the volume, this becomes a bit of an annoyance. Thus I'm curious if there are any audio programs out there that allow one to adjust the volume of a group of MP3s (batch mode, for example) so that they are "equalized". Does such a program exist?

I know you can alter volume in GoldWave, but as far as I know it's on an individual song basis, and the volume is generally set by using a % of the original volume, which isn't really too concrete when trying to have all MP3's set at the same volume.

    Thanks!

Yeah, I'd like to find one as well. My old MP3 player (a Creative Zen 8 gig) had a volume equalizer that worked perfect. But my current iPod doesn't and I just leave off songs that have very low volumes because it's a pain to go and change the volume while driving or listening.

MP3Gain is all you need, boys. Very simple program. Free, open-source. Get it here: http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/
