Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
The past few Hi def movies I've watched...
Ratatouille - PQ is amazing, just wanted to get it to see what it looked like. I'll be selling it once I finish it
We Own the Night - Decent picture, above average movie, I would watch it again
Gone Baby Gone - great movie, 4* PQ
Michael Clayton - great movie, above average PQ. Nothing mind blowing, but definitely crisp
Pan's Lab (HD) - weird movie, great PQ
Hellboy - decent movie, great PQ
Went ahead and bought American Gangster on HD off of ebay, not willing to wait for the BD version a year or two down the road. I've got Beowulf and 30 days of night on the way to me from Blockbuster, looking forward to seeing both, especially after the review Beowulf got from HDD.PS4: aBayBates

I called and they said they were only getting one copy but not until tomorrow. I'll still try and see if I can nab it. I already had it in my queue before I heard about HVPS4: aBayBates

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Was able to get about 12 quality movies thru the Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery firesales but no luck with the top 3: Eastern Promises, American Gangster, and Beowulf.
Had to return a movie to get AG and trading Smokin Aces to get Beowulf.
Only 3 must haves left: Dawn of the Dead, Eastern Promises, and Star Trek season 1.Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
Is that a good deal? I havent been pricing these and ebay has zero of them on there, not so good for me since I already own Oceans 13 on HD-DVD but I suppose I could sell the one from the trilogy or return it to Walmart and get something different.Comment

Re: **Official Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Thread Part II**
I just picked up a bunch of the Harry Potter movies at an average of 12 bucks per movie on HD DVD.
I'm bidding on the Bourne Trilogy right now (been outbid about 10 times on this friggin' series) on HD DVD.
Just got my Mission Impossible HD DVD Collection in the mail today.
I'm really loading up on the HD DVD collection now. Most of my movies are around 10-12 bucks.
So far tonight...I've gotten Seabiscuit and 3 Harry Potter flicks on HD DVD for a total of 56 dollars..including shipping. Not too shabby.Last edited by AuburnAlumni; 02-27-2008, 09:51 PM.AUBURN TIGERS

That's a damn good deal. 12 bucks a movie is about the norm on Ebay right now.
