I will be picking up Stripes on blu-ray for $14.99 at Best Buy on tuesday here in Canada as it's exclusive to Best Buy. I also picked up the movie 21 for $9.98 at Wal-Mart. I am looking forward to the Dazed & Confused Criterion edtion release on Oct. 25 on blu-ray.

Amazon UK usually has good deals on boxed blu sets. I'm on the fence about getting Band of Brothers for about $26 from there.

Not sure what to do with Transformers 3. Wait it out for the extras or pick up the bare bones blu with the DVD. Decisions, decisions...

FYI: Blockbuster has updated the inventory for the 5 for $20 used blu ray sale. I picked up: Avatar, The Fighter, From Paris with love, Easy A, Predators, Machete, Due Date, Ong Bak 3, Unstoppable, Resident Evil: Afterlife. I was very tempted by the Collector's 3 disc extended edition of Avatar for $13.

Funny story -

So last night my friend and I were to watch the Dark of the Moon Blu-ray. I asked him to pop the disc in and get it started as I went to the bathroom and made a phone call. When I came out, he was ready and pressed Play.

I went four seconds into the opening Paramount logo to say, "What the **** is this? This looks like ****!" I asked him what it was he put in, and he said it was the disc that was in the case. I looked at the case, and he indeed did.

Then we noticed there was a disc behind the back flap, and that was the Blu-ray. What he popped in, the primary showcased disc, was the DVD.

Poor tactic on their end to hide the BD. As a movie that was hyped up as the best looking and sounding BD, I was going to call it the worst looking and sounding ever lol.

My parents did the same thing with Avatar. I walked in and it looked crappy, but I figured it was just their DLP tv. I pop the disc out to give back to my friend and it's the DVD.
