I'm the same as Aholbert and Bates.

I usually pop an HD DVD in the bedroom player and fall asleep to one. I also only watch a few shows regularly...Heroes, Battlestar Galactica and Nip/Tuck. Other than that..I'm watching ESPN or a movie.

It's nice to have such a large library of HD movies now too. It's like my own personal video store.

I plan on picking up Casino Royale and 3:10 to Yuma as my first Blu Ray purchases.

By the way guys, anybody who purchased a HD-DVD player off Amazon before 2/23/08 is eligible for a $50 rebate. I just used mine on Zodiac, Pan's Labyrinth, and American Gangster. I finally got Planet Earth HD-DVD too from Ebay.

I now have 30 HD-DVDs and there are very few additional movies I want. I'll hopefully be able to get my PS3 back from my little bro, but then I'll start getting Blu films. It's good timing because I'll have my PS3 back at the end of June after my exams

The sad thing is that I haven't fully watched ONE yet. I just haven't had the time LOL.

I said I was going to slow down on buying HD-DVDs once I got Star Trek TOS. Even went so far as to sell 25 of them on ebay. Well, I've bought 7 since Star Trek and looking to buy a few more. At least this is a relatively cheap hobby/addiction since all the movies have been $11 or less.

My new favorite place to buy is half.com with the "$5 off a $10 purchase" coupon. Picked up Land of the Dead and Skeleton Key for $9. Even without the coupon there are some great prices.

Side note, anyone else having trouble logging in to the HDD forums? Front page opens like normal, but forums aren't loading for me. Maybe it's my firewall settings.

HDD forums aren't working for me either. Not since yesterday.

It's been down and I used to have the IP address to get into their forums when they appear to be down and erased it by mistake. It is strange because this happened last month and some people were still able to get into the forums through the main page without a problem. I believe it was a DNS issues from what I remember, so if you had their IP address in url form, you could access the site.

Right now I'm slowing down my HD-DVD purchases, but man, it seems like great deals keep popping up!

I'm cheap as hell and can't pass up great deals. I absolutely need catharsis and put a formal end to my HD-DVD purchases before I start buying Blu-Rays though. The PS3 (gotta spend money on a new hard-drive first, those Capcom installs are killing me) is going to have to have to let its big bro, the A3, chill out for a little more time. I'll get to Blu-Rays soon!

I just put 4 HD-DVDs on ebay, so I guess that's enough justification for buying 4 more this week.

Any news on the Lord Of The Rings coming to Blu Ray anytime in the future? I just rewatched these all this week while i've been out sick from work, and couldn't fathom how insane these would look in high definition.

For a lot of you kats that don't have frys in your cities.

Go to Fry's.com and order straight from the warehouse. They have some great deals on HD-DVD's and some older blu-ray's. Especially boxsets. Check'em out!

I have them in HD and look fantastic. Not on Blu-Ray... but it's certainly a 1080(p?) video source. Should be a great release.
