The Strangers was good and I do recommend picking it up. I haven't had a chance to review the film yet, but it has good picture and audio. Very creepy as hell film too. I think that you will enjoy it.

Watched Halloween last night. I know I'm in the minority here but I absolutely love this movie. The PQ & AQ are really good. I didn't get into the extra's except to check some of the Deleted Scenes. If you haven't seen this yet you should give it a look

I'm in the same minority, but I haven't gotten it on Blu yet. I'm waiting till Black Friday.

By the way, I picked up Mission Impossible III, The Italian Job, and Shooter on Blu-ray at Fry's for $13.99 each. Check and see if your local Fry's has the same deal... they said these were on sale until 10/28, which is Tuesday (not sure if that means it lasts till the end of the day Tuesday or if it ends tomorrow night).

I still have 10 more HD-DVDs I need to buy. I took a huge break after splurging on a ton of movies in the Spring. I need these last ten before being able to close the book on it.

www.inetvideo.com has a nice deal on HD-DVDs....most are $6-7. Free shipping on orders over $50. I picked up 9 HD-DVDs and 1 blu ray for $64.

Anybody put their order in for this yet? It's an amazon exclusive..

              http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-com-Exc...5763651&sr=1-3

should have it either tomorrow or Wednesday (Amazon Prime). Probably the most disturbing depiction of Rome ever on film can't wait

My copy of Caligula is in. Will give a review this weekend. The box has weird specs:

DTS-MA- 5.0 also offers Original Mono Track
                Widescreen- 2:00:1

                  Oh no! It's a 25% off Blu-ray sale!

Why are we saying "oh no?" Because, drats -- we were really hoping to protect our wallets some more during this games flood. But NO. DeepDiscount.com has to make their entire DVD & Blu-ray stock available for 25% off. As Darth Vader would say: "Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Sale ends November 23rd. Make sure you use one of the following coupon codes:

LOL you can price match at any store from Walmart's ads and you will get all of these movies much cheaper. This isn't a deal at all.

I'm still waiting for the $10 rumored deals on Black Friday. Speaking of which, let's just assume, hypothetically, that this was the case... they said this would apply to Blu-rays that "you would actually want to buy." I'd say this would mean rather decent movies, except do you think it would mean the brand new ones? I mean, Hancock comes out literally three days before Black Friday. That won't be $10, will it? If not, do you think it will have any significant price drop whatsoever?

I'm looking to buy a lot of Blu-rays that released outside of this year, so I'm hoping I get some great deals... but at the same time, I've held off on buying The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Batman Begins, uhh... like how much will the Two-Disc Casino Royale be? Does this make sense what I'm asking? New movies that just came out probably won't be $10 if the other ones are, but I want to see if I can get a good rough estimate as to how much they'll be reducing these prices so I can optimize here.

I'd grow my collection if they're actually decent movies and not just the crappy stuff.

Side question...has anyone here gotten a Blu-Ray with a digital copy? Do they put a DVD in there so most people can get it to their PC? I don't have a Blu-Ray on my computer, but the digital copy would be kinda cool to have for traveling and whatnot.

I'd guess some movies that are a month or less old at the time might drop down to around the 20 dollar range. That's just a guess though. You might be able to find Batman Begins, Transformers, Pirates, and some older ones around the 10 dollar mark if they do drop that low. I'd expect 15 to be more realistic though.

My copy of Street Kings has it, and I probably won't use it since I own the movie. It comes with a second disc and a code, so if you or anyone else is interested in it, PM me and I can mail the necessary stuff to you.

I finally watched CALIGULA. It's been a long time since I saw it last. Man this movie is disturbing... Now I remember why it's called the MOST controversial movie ever filmed.

Both Audio & Video transfers are not the greatest but it's the BEST your gonna get of any versions on the market. If your a collector this version is the 1 you want. For those who don't collect I suggest a rental.

Personally I believe everyone owes it to themselves to see this movie if not once in their lifetime.

Thanks. I picked up one of the few they had left. Just wished I had gotten in on the Kill Bills a few weeks back.
