My cousin has this and I've messed around with it for about 2 seconds, but there were two things that seem like no-brainers that were either missing or I couldn't locate.

1. Channels aren't color-coded. I have Comcast and when you go through the guide, sports games are listed in green, movies in purple, children's programming in light blue and the rest in royal blue. Not a deal breaker, but once you've got it, it makes finding games easy.

2. I couldn't search by category. The only search function I could find was alphabetical with options to refine that search a little. On Comcast, I can search in a bunch of categories which once again makes finding sports games easy. For example, I like to see what football games will be on Saturday. I got to Search, Sports, Football and then can scroll across the times broken down to the half hour. Couldn't find this on his tv and ended up having to just scroll through until I found the baseball playoffs since I had no idea what it was listed as and I couldn't use the search function.

U-Verse is adding close to 40 HD channels on/around 11/3. They are also adding the 19 Voom channels by year's end. Those 59 channels will give them around 120 HD channels by year's end.

Uverse rolled out some nice features today...

Upgrade to their TV Software

• New UI
• Ability to Record/Delete from any room in the house
• New Web DVR Interface
• Native iPhone app to set DVR from anywhere

In addition, they are giving away Starz and Showtime for July for free.

Here is a pic of the new web UI, and how you can filter things out. Runs very smoothly, and is alot better than their old UI.

I do not see the ability to record/delete from any room. Does this take a RG reset?

It's only in Texas on beta right now. It's coming on a Nationwide rollout soon.

you can't. not to mention you can't pause tv except for the room with the dvr in it. Been saying that is coming soon for a loooong while now.

It's only in Texas on beta right now. It's coming on a Nationwide rollout soon.

Just got the update yesterday. I like the new color scheme. It's great to be able to schedule something on my other TV instead of running to the computer or out to the room with the DVR.

I've been waiting for UVerse. It's being installed in different areas around here, but it's not available where I live yet. There's been some construction going on the road by my house, but not sure if they're laying the lines.

We can't get it at our house, which sucks because we've wanted it for awhile. They can't get it out to us... which is odd because we're definitely not in a remote area and we know people about a mile away that get it.

I'm thinking about getting this when I move to Jacksonville. I've heard some horrible stories about the HD quality being horrible and lag time between pressing a button on the remote and the action happening. Everyone still love it?

Yeah, I've had it 2 years now, can't complain at all.

Had some lag with button presses, but recently got the DVR upgrade, seems faster than ever. The new update allows you to watch, set, delete, and view DVR recordings from any TV in your house. Very cool feature.

I've had it since December. I'm happy with the picture I have. I definitely would choose the U-Verse over Comcast. I'm getting a whole lot more from U-Verse for about what I was paying on Comcast.
