National Enquirer... isn't that a type of mag you find in the grocery store?? I really wouldn't trust a mag that often runs headlines like "My previous life as a dog", or "My shoes speak to me"...

When it is reported by more reputible sorces, then I will feel bad for him..

The National Enquirer has never run stories like what you said, you are thinking of something like the weekly world news. The National Enquirer is actually pretty accurate on alot of things (especially when it comes to saying whose dying) and it has broken out stories on many celebrities in regards to cancer (Farrah Fawcett, Johnny cochran, etc) so this probably holds weight.

PHILADELPHIA -- A spokesperson for Patrick Swayze confirmed reports that the actor has terminal cancer, according to the New York Post.

The story was first reported by the National Enquirer, and quickly spread to other gossip sites. For the past month, Patrick, 55, has been traveling to Stanford University's prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy of pancreatic cancer, but his doctors no longer are optimistic that the treatments will be successful, the Enquirer reported.

The report said the cancer has spread to other organs and he has five weeks left to live. Swayze's representative later confirmed those reports to the New York Post website, pagesix.com. The 55-year-old star's publicist told the Post that he was diagnosed a month ago. Sufferers of pancreatic cancer typically have a survival rate of less than 5 percent. Swayze shot to fame starring as bad boy Johnny Castle in the hit 1987 movie Dirty Dancing. He also starred in Ghost and Point Break. He recently wrapped filming on the A&E TV movie The Beast, in which he plays an FBI agent.

Nope, he's Canadian and is really big here. His death was one of the top news stories on every newscast after all the hard news.

Yep, looks like this story is true. A friend of my father died of the same thing and it wasn't very pretty.

Damn that's sad. No need to lose all hope, but at least he sees it coming, so he can make peace with all his family and friends and if applicable, his maker. Lots of people don't get that chance.
