To me, the sound is what makes Journey - it helps that they always seem to get a guy that can hit the notes..

I mean, could you imagine "Seperate Ways" sung by a guy with a deep bass voice?

Odogg is right, Perry is the face of Journey.

However; Neil Schon and Jonathan Cain are under rated song writers and musicians.

The current drummer does a fabulous job on Mother, Father. I couldn't believe it was the drummer singing that song.

12 bucks for 2 CD's and a DVD of Live music.

The new disc, I've heard only about three songs from the live DVD, but if After All These Years isn't a hit, I'll stop listening to music. If your married or in a long term relationship, that song is great.

No one can replace Steve Perry, but this guy, is good.

The drummer does a great job singing on Mother, Father.

        After All These Years.

I just ordered mine online. Is Walmart the only place selling this?

Yes, REO did something similar about a few years ago.

Just picked up my copy today.. sounds good, and I love the fact they have some "classics" being sung by the new guy.

However, just wondering why they "re-released" a song that was on their last album on this one ("Faith in the Heartland").

            - PS, Dean does have a great voice for a drummer.. at the show I was at, he sung "Still they Ride"..

              Re: Journey

I heard this on rockline last week when they were asked why re-release FITH. Jon Cain said it was Kevin Shirley(the producer)who insisted. He loved the song but thought the "Generations" version was under produced. IMO I like the Augeri sung version better than this one but the drums on the last cd were not recorded that great.Kind of inaudible at times but on this new one they sound pretty good for not having the budget todays "hip" musicians get from the bigger record companies. This new version does sound great also by the way. By the way "Still They Ride" is one of my favorites by Journey. My ultimate fave is "Edge Of The Blade" from Frontiers.

Wow, I haven't heard Pineda before

He's got a great, absolutely phenomenal voice. I'm not a huge Journey fan, but I like the way he presents the few Journey songs I am familiar with
