The part I dislike is how centralized the show is on Adams. I understand the show is about John Adams. However in an era and time like this you really can't focus on one guy, there were soo many people who contributed that when you focus on one guy it almost lessens the contributions of all the other major players.
Well the show's title Adams. I think you knew what to expect coming it. It's like Seinfeld being focused on Newman.

I liked him in Disturbia. That girl was hot.
I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

She was also a terrible actress. And Morse was supposed to be creepy and intimdating but was more of an annoying smug douche bag. It was a pretty horrible movie all the way around.

Should be required viewing for everybody under the age of 30. It's disturbing how few people are out there who have any historical context to them whatsoever (watch Idiocracy, and you'll see where we're headed).

It's refreshing to see you guys so into the show. I hope that's not condescending; I certainly don't mean it as such.

After my initial enthusiasm I grew bored with this series. I couldn't finished last week's episode-I think the Linney-Giamatti love scenes had something to do with it.

Yeah that was quite possibly the ugliest love scene I've ever seen. Giamatti's face makes me wanna vom, especially when he was sick...oh my God dude looked like a pale diseased turtle.

I'm still high on the series though, in fact, higher. For me the episodes have gotten better and better and I am a big fan of the overall acting. The scene where John and John Quincy are walking discussing JQ's future was brilliant and every scene with Thomas Jefferson is great. I love this show.
                  PS: You guys are great.

Sigh......maybe I should start watching again-just have to get that passionate lovemaking scene out of my head.

I really like this series. It took some getting used to seeing "Pigvomit" play John Adams, but once I got passed that it was really well done. I thought the casting was great with Franklin, Jefferson, Washington etc. It really shows how everyone point of view of how the government should work was important into the creation of the country. Also I wish HBO would do 1776, it was very well written and is the opposite of John Adams in that it focuses more on the military, on both sides, with the Congress being more of a backdrop.

I love the way Adams speaks to his sons its hilarious. One of my favorite lines is when he sees his son after soo many years being away and doesn't really recognize them. Quincy acknowledges that he is his son and John Adams looks shocked and says something to the affect of "my god man, you look well!", I just laughed when he said that. He speaks to them as if they were not his kids at times, somewhat cold like.

Which is probably why they hate him.
