    penny in cigarette lighter!

    i accidentally dropped a penny in the cigarette lighter of my car! how would you take it out?? has anyone else had this happen to them?

    that part should just pop out. Once you get it out you should be able to get the penny out easy. Just see if you can pull the lighter part out. It will just snap back in when you are done.

      one time a while back my cd player stopped working. i had no idea what was wrong but didn't have time to get it fixed right away so just put off getting it fixed. my dad took it to get some work done and they found that a fuse had blown because of the same thing. not sure how you can get it out though, sorry...

        damn...

        i knew i shoulda gone trough with that "magnet on a stick" idea i had last year..
        i could sell it to you for 1000 bucks..

            i got it out just now! it was tough. thanks for the advice fellas.

            my cd player still works. i guess i'm lucky.

                I thought they made the magnet on a stick already, isn't it like a car antenae(sp?)???

                    It wouldn't work on the vast majority of U.S. pennies currently in circulation as they are non-magnetic.

                    Although I imagine a piece of gum on a straw would do the trick.
