    Thought the same thing.

It is interesting how in the last episode (not the 4/18 one, but 4/11) the cylons that wanted to lobotomize, or whatever, the raiders were saying how they were machines serving a purpose and shouldn't have awareness, thoughts, etc. In my mind, that's the same way the humans essentially treated the cylons, which caused them to revolt. Now it's happening amongst the cylons themselves - upper-class vs lower-class. Kind of cool how that works out, no?

Yep, they are setting up that storyline.

I like Calle too. ****in writers, they should have killed off Tory. I can't stand her. I would have much preferred Billy to still be on the show. That would have been a huge shock in the storyline.

Looks as though I'm in the minority, but I rather enjoyed seeing Cally get ejected into the perpetual blackness of space.

Yeah, I'm not rooting for anyone to die, but if someone has to go, she would be at the top of the list.

            So....

Dean Stockwell is now my new idol after making out with Boomer on the Cylon Baseship.

I didn't see THAT relationship coming.

I'm sure he was reading the script, and thinking, "...and they're going to pay me as well?!?!, life is good."

Seriously though, I think that whole relationship underscores much of the turmoil that is afflicting the Cylon Nation right now.

I am loving the direction that Tyrol is going right now. He is becoming very dark and will soon accept his cyloness

Is there any doubt that this show is turning in some of the more powerful and intense acting performances of ANY medium, movies or otherwise, this season?

Good lord, the acting and writing on this show is absolutely second to none. This season is setting up to be absolutely INTENSE all the way through.

                        God I love this show.

EDIT: I would also like to add that being able to now view this in glorious High Definition brings a tear to my eye.

I agree. Although tonight's episode was a set-up episode. I'm just glad there was some finality to it. I hate the ones where it just turns into 24/Lost and you have to watch 4 episodes to figure out anything. I'm glad BSG hasn't done that this season.

                          The acting was really strong.

I think over the next few episodes someone is going to be figured out.

                          And I hate Tori.

The writing really paves the way for the acting. When an Eddie Olmos and a Mary McDonnell sign on to a project like BG they had to have seen something in the scripts that really made them stand up and take notice.

Thats what hurts a lot of young actors and actresses, they take these roles with garbage scripts, and it seems like they can't act because they're given nothing to work with.

Alana de Garza was on CSI Miami-one of the worse written shows in the history of T.V.- and it seemed like she was a total stiff. Put her on Law and Order and its like night and day.

Back on last nights episode, if you had to choose could you say who shined the most from an acting standpoint? Was it Aaron Douglas?, Michael Hogan?, Tricia Helfer?, James Callis?, Mary McDonnell? Its impossible to say. That not even mentioning EJO, who does such a great job in the scene with Adama and the Chief, in stepping back and letting Aaron Douglas own that scene.

                              Excellent point.

You know, Emmys have been going to crap shows like Desperate Housewives, but a show with great writing but that is sci-fi gets ignored except for special effects.

I liked in some of the previews to the season, the producers were talking about how they wanted Olmos and McDonnell but didn't think they would sign on. How huge was these two signing on. I don't think you could have picked a better duo to lead your show.

One last comment. There was a post about 3:10 to Yuma and how I thought it was a great western because the movie was entirely about juxtaposition characters.

As we get deeper, the President's character is really developing into a complex figure. All highlighted by the fact, that here's an ex-school teacher and now she's concerned with limited democracy in order to keep the fleet together.

It's not that this is sci-fi show. If this was a show about the real president and his generals or something, it would be winning Emmys left and right.

I'm just impressed by this whole show. Right now I'm rewatching all the seasons. When I first watched the series, I thought, the series was slowly falling apart but watching it again, I see the show becoming more complex and enriching.

Just a freaking great show. Fridays can't come soon enough.
