Re: Velvet Revolver Boot Weilend!
The announcement comes a day after Billboard exclusively revealed details of a reunion tour by Weiland's original band, Stone Temple Pilots. The group is expected to announce its schedule next week during a Los Angeles press conference.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Velvet Revolver Boot Weilend!
The STP reunion has been in the works for a while now.Sorry, but Pearl Jam aren't the only band STP has sounded like at some point. They have put out better albums than Pearl Jam overall. The first two Pearl Jam cd's were excellent, from there it got waay too political.STP won't make it either. If Slash and Co. dumped him for basically the same reason the rest of STP did,I see this barely making it through the tour. They might make to a reunion album for the money, but I would be suprised. Now who replaces him in Velvet Revolver?Axl Rose anyone?Comment

Re: Velvet Revolver Boot Weilend!
Slash belongs with the band GnR and Axl-they both made each other great! ......... Anyway-I thought Revolver was on the weak side-I heard their first effort many times and can't think of any great songs on it-not trying to start a war, just my two on this.ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

Re: Velvet Revolver Boot Weilend!
I don't understand why Slash, Duff, etc. joined up with a high-maintenance singer like Weiland after everything they went with Axl. They'd be better off hiring an unknown singer and maybe they wouldn't have to put up with his crap.
I'm a fan of both STP and Pearl Jam (VR was ok). Pearl Jam's the better band for my money. The post-Vitalogy albums haven't been as popular, but they're really well-done albums. They just don't have the mainstream appeal that the first 3 did. Yield and Pearl Jam are probably my two favorite Pearl Jam albums.Comment

Re: Velvet Revolver Boot Weilend!
Yup. If Eddie VanHalen and David Lee Roth/Steven Tyler and Joe Perry can deal with each other-you'd think maybe Axl and Slash can at least be pro enough to get along to just do music?! they don't have to hang out and have bbq's on the weekends together-Just make some great music together and count the money. If they got GnR going again-they would have a nice bankroll to look forward to-I'd go see them in a second if they even just did an "A.F.Destruction"
reunion concert-and maybe some stuff from the "new"? album.ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment
