LMAO, this show makes me laugh like nothing else. I might still love The Simpsons and Trailer Park Boys more overall just because there's so much more material there (damn you, FOX!), but this is definitely the funniest show I've ever seen. Rapid-fire like 30 Rock but funnier and less dependent on pop culture references... better characters, better cast... it's just the best.
Thank you for that "sad walk" GIF! I'm gonna get some mileage out of that one. I never know a good source to find those damn things, there are probably 50 other AD .gifs that I'd love to have.
Yeah Seinfeld will always be my favorite, but Arrested Development is up there.
My favorite non-animated shows are probably Seinfeld, The Office, Trailer Park Boys, Arrested Development and My Name is Earl.
I noticed "It's always sunny in philadelphia" missing from that list. If you're a Seinfeld and AD fan, you need to check that show out. IMO it's by far the funniest show on TV right now.

I've never watched it but friends are constantly recommending it to me.
Imagine Seinfeld only with more crude and stupid people and there you go. Honestly at times it's much funnier than Seinfeld, although it's not as consistent either.
I'd recommend you pick up Season 1 on DVD at best buy for $25 and just sit and watch a bunch of eps, You will love it. I got everyone here at work watching it and they are all huge fans now!
Finished watching on Netflix earlier this week. I'm sorry I wasn't there to support it when it was on the air. The crazy thing is I'd catch an episode every now and again and really like it, but never enough that I'd make the commitment to watch it again the next week.
One of my favorite parts was Ron Howard's narration, there was some rather subtle funny stuff there. I forget the name of the episode but it was where Maebe and George Michael see a movie about cousins who are lovers. Maebe remakes the movie for an American audience but it draws criticism by trying to lessen the controversy of the original by explaining that the lead actors might not really be cousins.
Later on (I don't know if it was the same episode or not since I watched as a marathon so the episodes seem to run together for me) Howard is narrating a scene where GM and Maebe share a moment and he (Howard)blurts out just before the moment that they may or may not be cousins. I really thought that was one of the more hilarious and clever running jokes.
Also I really liked Howard's beef with the narrator of Scandal Makers.
I gotta give it up, this has become one of my favorite shows of all time. I winced when I read the earlier parts of this thread where people were putting it on the level of Seinfeld or even over it, but I have to say it's up there. So far Seinfeld, Chappelle's Show and Boondocks were among the very few shows I felt like I had to have on DVD, but Arrested Development has joined that exclusive company.
