Re: The Arrested Development Thread
knocked out the rest of the season this morning
I'm going to rewatch it because I've been sick through most of it an haven't been able to laugh at anything. I thought the way they blended the stories together was clever.
Really enjoyed everything GOB related, like always.
Felt like George Sr. Was funnier as a supporting character in other episodes.Comment

Re: The Arrested Development Thread
The MST3K reference made me pause it because I was laughing so hard.
I loved the entire season. It wasn't up to par with 1-3, but like said earlier in here, it's near impossible to be.And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: The Arrested Development Thread
Now I don't like the new format that much. They really committed to the idea and did a great job, but I just think some characters aren't strong enough to carry whole episodes on their own. I felt like Lindsay/George Sr. were better in the flow of the old seasons inserted between bigger storylines. But with only 2 days of having the full cast on set, they've made the right call to go with a new concept. Still hoping future episodes, which are already confirmed, will have more interaction between the characters though.
I'd say during the best episodes of S4 (Gob/Buster/Lucille) I've laughed more than even during the best ones of the old seasons. It's seems more straight forward to me and less about trying to come up with the most elaborate writing. There were many moments during the first 3 seasons where I somehow appreciated the quality of writing more than the jokes themselves, if that makes any sense. The new episodes feel a bit more streamlined in terms of the way they set up jokes and it's hit or miss for me. Still, some all time great writing in some episodes.Last edited by mango_prom; 06-12-2013, 09:14 AM.Comment

Re: The Arrested Development Thread
It gets a little better as more characters are re introduced and they start putting storylines together. It was funny, but not really laugh out loud funny for me.
Will Arnett/GOB may be one of my favorite actors.. dude is hilarious.Comment

I'm through 6 now. It's gotten much better. The second Michael episode and the Tobias episode in particular were great.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Gob's episode "Colony Collapse" is my favorite.SpoilerGob breaking down in front of plant kills me, and every time that song starts playing in his head. I can watch that over and over.
When egg unzips her nightgown it starts off weirdly sexy and turns into awkwardly hilarious.PS: You guys are great.

I enjoyed the season very much. I just didn't like how it ended.
