Reality TV sinks to a new low....

I come home about a half hour ago, and I go in the bedroom, where wifey is sleeping. She's been watching VH1. On the TV is some reality show, and I recognize Danny Bonaduce. Apparently the show is mothers who think their kids are potential stars, and the mothers and kids are put in a house to live together while they compete for some spot... I truly felt sorry for the kids being subjected to this all because these idiot broads are trying to live vicariously through them.... Rant over, I'm off to watch Ernie and Charles and the Jet...

I'm surprised Bonaduce would lend his prescence to this, after all it was his child stardom that caused a lot of the problems he had growing up. I guess he's desperate for money or a total hipocrite. (probably both)

Maybe the hypocrite part; I've heard his name attached to some radio or TV show that's been advertised on different internet stations.

I watch "reality" tv as much as the next man, to watch people make fools out of themselves and laugh at them... But man, do they have to bring kids into it? There was one scene where a kid had just gotten finished dancing, and the mother was all upset because she didn't dance the way she wanted her to, and starts fussing her out... "What's wrong with you?!? You're not even f'in trying!!! I'm wasting my time!!" Yeah, THAT's not gonna give the kid issues as she gets older.

I was watching 30 Rock last night and everyone was watching a fake reality show called MILF Island. Is there something wrong with me because I want them to make that into a real reality show?

But I agree, VH1 sure does scrape the bottom of the barrel when it comes to reality TV.

I won't try to come across as some kind of anti-reality TV type of cat, nobody laughed harder than me at "Flavor of Love" or "I Love New York"... But to involve young impressionable kids in this, for all the world to see? That's not a good look, IMO.

Yeah, VH1 profiting off of it is pretty wack. But those kids are gonna live hellish lives with their crazy-*** stagemothers anyway, so they may as well get advice from Danny Bonaduce.. hah. I saw an episode of this and those moms are off the wall -- some of the kids definitely have talent and it sucks seeing some of them so unhappy due to their parents. Rocky or whoever is the most vapid crazy bitch I've ever seen.

This is what the tv stations to know. Cancell shows with average ratings but obviously a great following(Jericho), and replace it with a reality show that gets cancelled after 1 show.
