Getting rid of my Storm. I would love nothing more than to smash it into forty-two pieces with a baseball bat, but I'll sell it instead. If anyone's interested, PM me. Otherwise it's going on eBay.

Still getting used to everything but so far I'm really liking it a lot. One thing I dislike is it goes through battery quicker than my little flip phones ever did, guess I'll have to buy a car charger.
Well, your flip phones are a lot different than a smartphone. With any smartphone, the days of having your cellphone carry car charge for days at a time are gone. You will have to charge everyday. I have a car charger. I keep an extra USB cable at the office (usbs are cheap on amazon). The most important thing is not having apps that you are not using constandly running in the background. With Blackberries, even though u close an app out, doesn't mean you've shut it down. You have to make sure you've shut it down. The apps that stay open are the browser, home screen, phone, messages, and blackberry messenger. If you press and hold down the blackberry button, you'll see the icons of them items.

thanks for the heads up, I had no idea about having to close stuff out.

And yeah I figured the phone would go through battery faster than my flip phones did, but actually seeing it and dealing with it is something I'm still adjusting to. I put it on the charger every night while I sleep so it's not really been a problem.

            I tried 5.0. It still sucks ***.

I'm using my five-year-old flip phone for now. I haven't decided what to do yet. I might stay with the flip phone for awhile.

You can scan barcodes with an app from blackberry app world called EDOCRAB

Also google mobile has a voice feature that lets you speak into the mike and it will do a web search for whatever site you say

I've gotten the go ahead to upgrade my 8900. Word is T-Mobile will have an extra $50 off the Bold 9700 11/26-11/29. So the price will be $149.99. I had planned on selling my 8900 but @ this price, I'm going to be keeping it as my backup. W00T!

Is it already for $149.99? Surprised this being offered with no rebate.

Just wanted to get a post in here... got a BB Curve (8300) myself since about September of '08. No plans on switching to any other AT&T phone unless I want to use my SIM card and get a Blackberry Storm... but yeah... my phone is basically what I need in a phone. I don't have internet on it though because I personally don't have the money to pay for the data plan myself, but the keyboard and overall functionability is what I'm in love with. I've dropped it countless times on concrete floors and it still functions as if it was brand new. Granted, I have a pretty good case and an invisible shield installed on the monitor...
