I'd give up my car for a Storm, but it looks like I may have to settle for the 8830 as far as a Christmas present goes.

lemme know if you have questions man. i program those things and troubleshoot whatever i can without having to use sprints tools every day

One thing i'll tell you it to always keep it in the case. theyre sensitive and just sticking it in your pocket will cause lint to get inside the trackball area and ruin it over time

also dont jerk on the usb port because that also will break and you'll need a new phone

I had the 8830 World Phone for awhile. Liked it, but lack of a camera for a photographer like me made it annoying.

Plus I do enjoy my picture messages, also something Verizon sort of gimped.

Went back to my Venus. Hope to get a Curve soon, as it looks like a sweet phone.

I got my Storm in the mail yesterday and its my first Blackberry. I'm still playing around with it and trying to figure everything out, but I'm definitely enjoying it thus far.

I have the 8830 World phone for work. I wish I didn't have it! It's like a ball and chain for me.

We got 2 Storms for testing purposes this past week. I played around with it for 30 minutes or so. It's very cool, but frankly, seemed rushed. The one I was using was slow and froze a few times when I tried connecting to the Blackberry server. I think a better processor would do the trick. My guess is we won't rollout Storms to the IT Dept until they come up with another revision with a faster processor.

Got it huh? Yup, I love mine. There is an update coming early December to speed a few things up and fix a few things here and there.

Yeah, I'm being very careful with it. I always treat my electronics ridiculously well. I got a plastic case for it with a belt clip at the sprint store and it seems like it should work well. I also got the protection plan. Learned my lesson after my last one had the outer screen randomly break (literally, I set it on my desk, went to bed, and it was all messed up the next morning). So yeah, I made sure to protect it since I want it to last awhile.

I do have one question. I have my phone synched up with IMAP through my Google Apps mail (we have it for my school email). I was able to get it working after a little bit of difficulty. I got the emails to delete from the Google account when I deleted from the handheld, but is there a way to have the emails delete off the handheld when you delete them from Google?

Right now, I'm watching the Eagles-Cardinals game. It's hilarious but kinda sad that I can watch it on my phone but my Time Warner Cable here at home (and Comcast when I'm down at school) don't carry it. The video quality is decent... it's amazing how far the technology for this sort of stuff has come. The GPS is outstanding as well, I thought it might just be a novelty but it really works decently as an actual navigation system.

Oh, and I downloaded Opera Mini. Really helps with loading the sites that the default browser can't seem to handle.

Yeah, I'm definitely having fun with mine so far. Still trying to figure stuff out though. A couple questions if anybody can answer them:

Where can I download more apps? I can only download 4-5 so far off of VZ.
How do I download videos to put on my phone?
Is there a shortcut to sending messages other clicking menu and send?

Never mind on the email, I've got that synching fully both ways. It's awesome.

Has anybody gotten the Storm's upgrade yet? I woke up this morning with a notification on my phone for it. I didn't upgrade til and hour or so since I had exams all day, so I haven't had time to play with it and compare.

I do have a question, though. When I first got the Storm I was able to pull pictures off the internet via Google's image search to use for backgrounds. A couple days ago I was searching for pictures was having trouble with frames. When I clicked on a picture, it would take me to a page like you see whenever you Google search images with a preview of the image in a top frame with a link to "see full image" and in the bottom frame is the page. When click on the "see full image" link in the top frame, taking me to a page with just the full version of the picture, the full image loads in the top frame. So, I still have two frames showing up in my browser, when on a PC there's just the picture whenever you click link. Anybody know how I can fix this?

Got the 8330 Curve and for some reason the last 2 days when I go to turn my phone on the red light in the upper right hand corner flashes a few times and then stops but never turns on. If I hold the power button down then it turns on after a second of doing that, is there a reason this is happening or anyway to stop it from happening? Once the phone is on I can turn it off and back on again by just simply pressing the button but that first time I turn it on Im having to hold the power button down like Im turning it off.

That was the same for me up until the other day. It seems rather random but its annoying either way, hopefully its not my phone going out on me as I just got it a month ago or so. Ever heard of anything like this happening? Ive heard of the phone not working or turning on at all, even when pressing and holding the power button, but mine isnt doing that so Im unsure if its my phone or just some random thing.
