Yeah X-Men 3's storyline was bad. Somebody had to sign off on that script though. They probably just saw the bucks rolling in and said "let's do this!"

If they can do a do over with the Hulk, then they should make another X-Men and pretend part 3 never happened.

    X-Men 3 = Rocky 5

Brandon Routh was a terrific Superman/Clark Kent, but the whole selling Kryptonite on Earth time-shares plot was ********.

It was titled I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, not starring Jennifer Love Hewitt.

They should make a prequel: I'll Know What You're Doing This Summer.

Dont't give them any ideas. For the right price, they'll do it.

Indiana Jones 3 should have been the last one.

I am assuming it went straight to video, I personally don't count those as sequels. If there is no theatric release it doesn't truly exist as a sequel.

I suppose, and I fully understand. I never think of a sequel to The Lion King, The Butterfly Effect, Sandlot... nuh uh.

Regardless, shouldn't they be sequels though, if they are trying to cash in on the name?

Generally speaking these straight to video "sequels" are mere attempts to create a television show for the movie that gets turned into a movie when it fails to be picked up (see Cruel Intentions 2). Henceforth I don't consider them sequels as much as they are label whores looking to make a quick buck. A sequel would at least attempt to further the story line of the previous movies, straight to video movies seldom if ever do this.

Now take the American Pie series, that is now a label like National Lampoons, so those are not sequels either, even with vague references to the original three movies.

The Hills Have Eyes. They left #2 wide open for a #3. I don't know why I watched either one, but I did. I will most likely pass on a third one.

I guess it really depends on the movie, script, etc. I never watched any of the James Bond movies but I know it gets a big following and I don't know how many they made. There's been alot of Star Trek films too even though I haven't seen one. From what i've heard they done well for their target audience.
