    The Clone Wars

As I walked into Speed Racer the other day I saw a preview for an animated Star Wars movie.

I guess it about...... The Clone Wars, does anyone have any videos or info on it?

    Re: The Clone Wars

I don't know what that is. They are supposed to have a Clone Wars catroon series starting this year, I think. They already had the mini-series of this on the Cartoon Network prior to Episode III being released. I haven't heard anything about a theatrical release of a Clone Wars cartoon unless it's the one they showed already that people can buy on DVD. Maybe they are talking about the new cartoon series?

I saw the poster at the theater the other day and wondered about this. It has Obiwan and Anakin and it looks like the pictures I've seen of the cartoon version.

        Re: The Clone Wars

From the Star Wars wiki on the Clone Wars TV show:

The series will debut with a feature film of the same name. It is scheduled for release on August 15, 2008. The film will be a self-contained story, and will focus primarily on Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. The TV series will then look at the war from a larger point of view, and focus on other characters and events.

The first season, which picks up where the film leaves off, consists of 22 episodes.

Never was a big Star Wars fan but I'd much rather see some stories of Luke and those guys than more of the stuff they are doing in that young Anakin time line.

The live-action tv show that is coming out in a couple of years, I think, is supposed to deal with new characters and some minor ones from the prequels. It's supposed to take place during the time period between Episodes III and IV. I'm really looking forward to that. Not sure how much they'll deal with the original trilogy folks on that show but you might like it.

That Clone wars movie came on cartoon network a couple of years back but they finished it off. It lasted about 3 or 4 hours before it hit the to be continued part and they never showed it again... it was entertaining as heck

The original series consisted of 20 three-minute installments for Seasons 1 (later known as Volume 1), and five 12-to-15 minute installments for Season 2 (later called Volume 2). The end of Season 2 leads right up to the beginning of Revenge of the Sith. Seasons 1 and 2 are available on DVD.

And you're right, it was entertaining as heck.
