Wow indeed, I tend to think that last year was Rescue Me's worst season, and while this season definitely had it's moments where I would cringe (garrity's multiple song and dance routine's come to mind) , there were alot more episodes reminiscent of the first few years. This finale is just another one of them, I've never seen a show so capable of blending drama, comedy, love, lust, etc so seamlessly from scene to scene.

The only thing I didn't like about this episode was that it was all about Tommy. Only like 2 minutes in the fire house. Nothing from Sean Mike Franco or Black Sean. Barely anything from Lou either.

Leary is awesome. I'll tell you right now....he could step into any firehouse with his character and nobody would know he wasn't a fireman. His demeanor....his passion and even his nuttiness(early in the show when it seemed like he would do anything at a job in(I believe) the hopes he would just make the grab or die doing it.

His personal beliefs....I don't think anyone cares about that. There is plenty of B.S. to go around and who knows how people come up with this stuff.....heck...my own son has a few conspiracy theories.
About it getting it into the show. I haven't seen this season yet(the wife and I get it from Netflix and watch it in a couple of days) but if it's what I'm thinking.....he wouldn't last long. It's nearly impossible to be an island unto yourself in the firehouse......and he would be ignored(among other things) to the point where he would 1. Have to leave his current house...and 2.....finally figure out to keep his trap shut.
I've said it before...a N.Y.C. firehouse can be the greatest place on earth. Great guys...a lot of fun...and a work atmosphere that is second to none when the $h!t is on....I can and do trust any of my guys with my life.
However, it can also be a brutal, savage place if need be. What I'm about to say has nothing to do with free thinking...a persons beliefs...there are all sorts of characters in the Dept....but you're a military guy, so you will understand. When you count on guys to back you up in a situation that means making it home....or not...everyone needs to be of the same mold per se. Guys who are not in that situation may not understand the need for such things....you may think "that's B.S.....I'm gonna do and say what I want"...but you wouldn't. There is a threshold that does not get crossed. Plain and simple.
I'm already saying too much here....but as for the show...it is just like a N.Y.C. firehouse and it is nothing like a N.Y.C. firehouse:wink:
(they do have N.Y.C. fireman on the show though and get guys to consult with them about the life of a fireman)

I thought the finale had a large disconnect from the rest of the season...It didnt gel well with the episode's leading up to it.
The last 4 or 5 episodes really had a flow to them and then, boom, the season finale happened and I felt like the momentum from the previous episodes vanished.
And why the hell are three hot cougars really that enamored with Tommy...its like his **** contains the cure for cancer.Comment

I thought that was strangly realistic. All 3 women are in their late 30s-40s. Not alot of single men to compete with. Janet and Sheila have been with Tommy forever and are willing to rip each other to shreads not just to get Tommy but just to win. Also Janet had 3 kids with Tommy so there is a bond there. Sheila has a bond with Tommy too plus she's insane. Also the new girl is now out of the picture.
Am I the only one that finds Shiela hotter than Janet? Maybe I'm into crazy girl and dont know it.Comment

Don't get me wrong, I think that Adrea Roth(Janet) is very attractive, but yes...there is something about Sheila.

Ehh, I get what you're saying, but Sheila even made mention to the fact that Tommy wasnt the only swingin **** around, and that she'd hop back on the D-train with or without him.
Janet was bangin a cripple, and didnt seem to miss him. (there is the children connection, though)
And new girl (cant remember her name) was bangin everything that moved. Obviously, she had a major connection with Tommy because they both lost their children...even so, she was Miss free-spirit for three episodes and then Tommy holds her one evening, and she's finally ready to settle down.
I guess when you write the show and you're the star, its easy to make your character the second coming.

The vibe has always been the same between Tommy and Shiela and Janet. They both hate him but are still attracted and drawn to him. Its been that way since the start of the series. Janet has dated the cripple, his brother and others but the connection is still there because they have kids together and she still has to have him in her life. Shiela is the same way. Every person she has dated whether its a guy or a girl has been to make Tommy jealous and to throw it in his face. Thats why its never silly to me when they come back in the picture. Now Leary goes a little crazy with the fact that every time there is a new girl around he ends up banging her. Like the french women this year or the new girl at the end of the year.Comment
