My 1080P 32' Sharp Aquos TV

for

HD 32' Samsung TV (Not sure if its 1080i or 720p, but its not 1080p I'm sure)
and $400


He was saying that he'd give me a cd player for my truck (I still got the factory one in it) and a 2000W amp but I have a feeling he ain't gonna have it come time. I've known him for a while lol



Is the picture going to look much different? Right now I'm playing 360 on my TV but eventually I'll have a PS3.

Sounds like a fine deal to me. Under 50", you can't tell the difference in 1080p or not anyway, and the Sammy is 720p.

How long has his tv been used and on what settings? As long as it's comparable to yours I say go for it. Under 40-50 inches you won't see a noticeable drop in PQ, especially in getting a Samsung in return.

Sharp Aquos are one of the better tvs out for a reasonable price. I wanted the 46" one badly but it was sold out everywhere around Xmas time.

I wouldn't worry about the 1080 vs 720 too much. My only concern would be the condition of the Samsung you're getting.

I'm going to trust you guys on the picture not being noticeably different. I probably would be able to tell anyway, it's more of me just knowing that it's not 1080p anymore. That $400 could go towards my MGS4 PS3 bundle

my point was that you will regret it. Especially since you don't seem to know very much about the tv you are getting, you are just thinking about a PS3.

Yeah, that was the same as my line of thought as well.. Especially when it's well known that the PS3 is not able to upconvert 720p-only games to 1080i.... What if the TV didn't support 720p, ya know? I know samsung is pretty good at having support for all the HD resolutions on their TVs, and you probably don't need to worry however... Regardless you gotta do some homework online for these things. compare prices, check out specs, read reviews whenever it comes down for expensive stuff. That way you don't need to regret anything at the end

You have a nice TV, why would you want to get rid of it for the Sammy? Is the Sammy an LCD also?

Nah dude don't do it. You have one of the better TVs out there and your definitely going to regret giving it up for a Cd player and a less impressive boob tube. I'm sure you could find a similar deal on amazon or eBay or anywhere for a amp and player for your car.

Plus in your OP its seems like the person you are dealin with is kinda shaky if your gut says no then........

I feel what you guys are saying. I definitely want to get the model# and what not to see what all the different specs are. If I do decide to do it, trust me, it's not in his best interest to give me a dud lol. I'm not worried about all that stuff though. The main thing I'm worried about is if the drop in picture quality is worth $400 that he'd be giving me (or the cdplayer/amp) along with the Samsung. Keep in mind that I'm just a 2nd year college student so that money sounds real appealing LOL

I'll see how it works out this week.
