    Drew Carey Price is Right

What do y'all think of the new Price is Right with Drew Carey? Is it better than it was with Bob Barker or is it worse?

I think the show has fallen off considerably since Bob retired. Drew doesn't really seem to care. He lacks enthusiasm. He talks way too fast and rushes the show. My favorite game show has now turned into a snore fest lately.

I agree, they need to replace him with someone that is more enthusiastic.

Yeah Carey just doesn't have the enthusiasm for the show that Bob Barker had. Sadly, he was probably the best candidate out of all the people wanting to do the show. Actually, if he wasn't working for ABC I think I would've offered the job to Tom Bergeron. He's done game shows before (The Whoopi Goldberg version of Hollywood Squares) and he seems to have the right kind of attitude to be engaging, funny and tell quick anecdotes like Bob used to.

yeah Tom is real good. I would have liked to see him do it, but there's no way.

Tom is way too busy these days to do TPIR.
He already does AFV and Dancing with the stars, but your right he would have been a great choice. And yes Drew Carey blows on TPIR, he is just horrible!

I would have liked to see Bergeron host it as well. Seacrest was in the running at some point and so was Rosie. I don't know how long Carey's contract is, but hopefully after the end of year 1, CBS replaces him with somebody much better who's a good game show host.

i do like how he make fun of the products ... that can't make them happy ... but yeah ... i love drew carey on his WLIIA and the dre carey chow, but he was the wrong choice. I can;t stand AFV but like Bergeron on Dancing with the Stars.

Drew just doesn't look comfortable out there from what I have seen. He doesn't really have a personality and just comes across as being flat. I know he's capable of being really enthusiastic and funny with Who's Line and his show, but he hasn't found his niche with the Price is Right.

Re: Drew Carey Price is Right

The thing with Carey is that he is flat. He's always been that way. Even on the Drew Carey Show he was very bland. He always delivered his lines with a sense of urgency and nervousness.

He's the same way on the Price Is Right. I'm not sure if he's comfortable around people. He also seems to be that guy (yea, every group of friends has one of these) that tells a joke and anxiously waits for people to get it and laugh.

But I like him. I think he's very people-like. He doesn't let the glitz get to him. He isn't about himself. And I think the audience sees that. Bob Barker could never be replaced because he is the face of the show. But Carey was chosen because like Barker he is very personable.

You and a lot of people like it. I'd rather watch a gameshow where you guess how long it takes a certain paint to dry.

I'm amazed that after months he still has no idea how half the games work. I like him though, I'm sure if given time he'll find his niche.

I really tried to like Drew...I really did. But sadly, I think this is appropriate:

Drew is terrible. Hopefully he improves, but it just doesn't seem like it'll happen but oh well.
