    Firefox trouble...

Anytime I try to add an extension and go to install it I get this message...

"firefox could not install the file at...(gives site address) because unexpected installation error"

I have tried to delete firefox and reinstal it, but it still doesn't let me add an extension.

Also, does anyone know what extension is the one where you can make text smaller and larger?

    Thanks

You don't need an extension to change text size, just hold down ctrl and use the mouse wheel (or ctrl and +/-).

Your problem installing extensions might be profile related.

Can I delete everything, but save my favorites so I can try to get some extensions?

          Re: Firefox trouble...

I had Firefox issues for several weeks on my laptop. Tried every fix/tweak known to man and it still gave me problems. For some unknown reason, Firefox did not like the OS forums AT ALL, along with various other sites!!!!! I'd say about 90% of the time, I'd see severe slow down and once in a blue moon, the site (including the OS forums) would load fast. It would take forever for pages to load, avatars and pics would be slower than molasses loading. Seeing a full screen of smilies was never in the equation for me

My other PC (desktop) worked just fine. On the laptop, I tried deleting Firefox and reinstalling. Tried different versions of Firefox with no luck. When deleting Firefox on more than one occasion, I even got rid of all traces of the program in my registry based on an online tutorial that I found. After a reinstall, more of the same SLOOOOOOOOOOOWNESS!!!

In the end (this past weekend), I did a full system restore on my laptop to factory condition, reinstalled Firefox and all is well now.

              Pissing me off...

Now I am getting a message that says... "firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window you must first close the exsiting firefox process, or restart your computer"

No firefox is running when I do ctrl alt dlt and I restarted a few times and nothing.

              I dunno too much!

Well after some digging and searching I had to delete my profile and create a new one for firefox to work.

Mods can lock this one up if they like.
