I cracked up at the one guy who knew what was up and didn't want to leave. He asked for a sip of the Kool-Aid sitting on the table before he left. Hanson had to make him walk out the door. I was surprised at the amount of jail time these guys got, ranging from 4-5 years in prison and 15-25 years of probation. Having watched the show several times I assumed they received lighter sentences.

I was surprised at the amount of jail time these guys got, ranging from 4-5 years in prison and 15-25 years of probation. Having watched the show several times I assumed they received lighter sentences.

I know, me too. I figured most of them who had clean records would just get probation.

They don't deserve probation at all though. They deserved a far worse punishment.

A co-worker today and I were talking about this today and one thing that we were wondering about was how they show these guys faces on tv? Like on Cops and other criminal shows they often have some people's faces blurred out and all. I doubt any of these clowns would give permission to use their faces for obvious reasons. Anyone know how they can show their faces?

Maybe it has something to do whether they are actually convicted. Most are convicted on this show while I'm sure Cops is more of a crapshoot.

Or maybe it has something to do with the magnitude of the crime (misdemeanor vs felony). I haven't watched much Cops, but I'm assuming a lot of those incidents are domestic disputes and charges aren't even filed.

But...Now, that I think about it, there was that guy who brought two friends with him to scout out the place and they showed their faces even though they weren't charged with anything. Heck...One of them was even a minor and they showed his face.

Stating the obvious but these guys must be totally obessed, out of control compulsive sickos to risk significant jail time considering that "To Catch A Predator" has become part of pop culture at this point. Not to mention total humiliation and an eternal sex offender status once they get out.
