They totally deserve it...without them the Simpsons wouldn't be making so much dough in merchandise, etc. I'm glad they're getting paid.

I think it's more than fair. They only have a handful of people doing the voices for many of the regular characters. I believe the cast of Friends and Seinfeld were making $1M or more per episode. Obviously they were actually on screen in person, but 30%-40% of that seems right.

well they'll get also money based on syndication and merchandise. The reason the cast of Friends got paid so well was because it was a popular show at the time. The article even mentions FOX saying the ratings and fanbase are eroding away, but they agreed to pay them regardless.
