2-3 dollars to charge the car ( gas will only be used if I go over 120 miles)

Some answers to some questions

1. You need to put down $500 to reserve your production spot. They now have over 2,500 reserved. I am number 841

2. The car will only use gas to recharge the batteries if you go over 120 miles in 1 trip without recharging the batteries.(again 1-2 dollars for a full charge) So in theory, you would not need any gas if you have a short commute each day (which I do) <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shape id=_x0000_i1026 style="WIDTH: 30pt; HEIGHT: 15pt" alt="0" type="#_x0000_t75"><v:imagedata o:href="http://www.operationsports.com/forums/images/smilies/graemlins/woot.gif" src="file:///D:\DOCUME~1\BR5817~1.AME\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01 \clip_image002.gif"></v:imagedata>

3. The company offers all electric and a Hybrid model. I chose the hybrid since I may have to go to SF for work.

4. You can use this car (even if driving alone) in the car pool lane.

I thought the same thing when we had our third kid and joined minivan nation. Now I can't imagine everyday transportation without one. Easily the most versatile vehicle on the road. Just realize that it's a mode of transportation and not a sex symbol, and you'll make the mental transition much easier.
