Scream was really the first series that got me introduced to the importance of a trilogy. Needless to say, that was never my favorite one.
I was addicted to The Matrix Trilogy for too long, and I still quite am. But now so many movie series' have trilogies/potentials that I just don't know which one. As a whole, I enjoy The Matrix the most as a trilogy. But I also love the Saw - Saw III trilogy, mostly for the movies alone and not as much for the trilogy setup as for The Matrix. I love Ocean's Trilogy, but they don't really connect as a trilogy in the ways that the others do. Then Bourne is a great trilogy, but the wrap-up wasn't quite as effective as the others, even though there was one.

2. Star Wars. All 6. The Prequel Trilogy are the 3 most underrated and overhated movies of all time. They're just like the original three, minus Han of course, but with better action sequences.
3. Indiana Jones. All 4.

My favorite would have to be the Die Hard series, with the original Die Hard being one of my favorite movies of all time (tied with Transformers).
Other than Die Hard, I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Bourne trilogy (series?), the Ocean's trilogy, Rush Hour trilogy, and the Indiana Jones series.
Depending on how Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers 3 turn out, they could very well become tied with the Die Hard series as my favorite trilogy/series. Die Hard will always remain number one, so the best Transformers can do is tie.
I'm also interested to find out if there is going to be a National Treasure 3. I really enjoyed the first two. You can also add the new Batman series to the list.Comment
