Re: Mike and Mike H-O-R-S-E Match

I play that when you miss your last letter, you get two free throws to try and erase letters (so if you hit them both you go back to H-O-R), then when you go out again, you get one FT to come back in (H-O-R-S), then when you lose a third time, it's over. Fun way to extend the game.Comment

Re: Mike and Mike H-O-R-S-E Match

HORSE is about making the shot your opponent makes and doing it just as he/she did.

I see no problem with Golic using a simple strategy here to beat his partner. It was smart. Why attempt shots you probably couldn't make?

And Golic wasn't being an a** about it. He simply stated the facts during the show. He said he kept taking the same shot knowing that Mike couldn't hit them. That's strategy. Even Greeny mentioned that he underestimated Golic. He never thought Golic would out smart him."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob NeyerComment
