I was really excited when I saw the headline until I read that it would be on the SciFi channel. Not sure how that will turn out.

I love Sci-Fi originals

Some of them are just so horrible that they're funny. For example, I saw Rock Monster (or something like that) recently. I don't even need to describe what happened in the movie for you to get the picture.

Then we get things like Tin-Man and BSG that are fantastic.

I wish I had it in HD, its one of my favorite channels.

Yeah, those originals can be cheesy. I can't recall too many that I've liked, which is why I'm not going to get too excited about this remake. I loved the original Children of the Corn, and was hoping for a big screen remake with all these other horror movies being remade. This isn't quite what I had in mind.

I saw a Sci-Fi original that had Face from the A-Team on it. Let's just say I felt sorry for the guy. It was basically about trying to fix a crack on the moon's surface.

Horrible horrible stuff.

I wish I had access to the Sci-Fi channel back in the early 90s when it was good.

I'm not a scifi fan, but when I was flipping through the channels one evening there
was some movie on about a half man/half shark.

I didn't stick around to see if it was any good.

I watched this when I was little and it freaked the heck out of me. I mean to the point where I had nightmares. This and Arachnophobia were the two most influential "scary" movies I saw growing up.

I'm now deathly afraid of spiders and large mounds of dirt chasing me in a corn field.

i can't watch the SC-FI channel any more for that exact reason. Have some of you seen their originals? Ooo my goodness, its like watching power rangers. The story are lame as heck and the special effects are something ripped right out of a power ranger episode.

Its is funny though, i remember watching 2 mins of the Rock Monster movie. I also watched some of Saber Tiger or what ever it was called. In all truth, some of their orginals have some very good concepts and a decent story. Their movie just fail because of the lack of a budget. I guess when you pump out an original every week or two, you can probably only spend about $50,000 for a movie.

On topic, this Children of the Corn movie, shall be interesting. I really haven't seen them attempt a horror movie, just a lot of sc-fi junk. I might catch a segment of it if i'm able to catch it on time.

Sci-Fi originals can't be any worse than BloodRayne which was somehow released to theatres. That was on SF the other day and I stopped for a couple seconds and honestly, WTF was that?

It did me too. I think I saw it when I was 10 or something like that it and have seen it 4 or 5 times since then. It's always been one of my favorite scary movies along with Halloween. Both of those gave me nightmares for years. LOL

That's the only line I remember from the movie. I've only seen it once when I was a kid but I NEVER forgot that line....
