"Thick is how we get down, from town to town"

    Man that was my joint.

As far as L goes, his flow was way beyond his years. Obviously he couldnt drop that much material but I have a feeling he would have killed the mixtape scene if he would have lived long enough. It's a shame he died because of his brother

Big L was nice as hell. I can't put him in my Top 5 all time though. Sadly, his career was snuffed out before he could get the props he deserved. I don't think he's been overrated. Hell, more people should be talking about that cat when it comes to being a pure MC. His mind was ill.

On another note I have to agree with the poster that said Pac is overrated. 2Pac is the most overrated rapper of all time. I liked Pac but too many people give that brotha the GOAT treatment. He wouldn't be in my Top 20 all time MC's let alone the Top 10.

In Tupac's defense, he was an artist who chose rap to focus on. I'm actually pretty sure that had he not gone so early, he would've transitioned into acting more. I used to hate on Pac a lot b/c I felt like his fame was all due to an act. He was the head of the West in the East/West war, but not only did he come out of Baltimore (on the East coast of course) but went to the School of the Arts. He created a persona that worked.

He was a talented writer (his "poetry" is used in some schools now) and wasn't bad in his short acting career. GOAT? Not even close in my book, but far from chopped liver (I know no one is saying he's that bad but he's taking a lot of heat so I'm pourin a little out for my dead homey).

Fat Joe Has some nice joints out There, The Don Cartegena CD was hot but the single called "Sh#T is Real" remix was just nasty in the mid 90's.

Man, that remix was the sh**. That was one of DJ Premier's best beats. I used to crank that joint back in college.
