Re: What Is The Best Sound In Sports?

Definitely the crowd during a football game... especially at the end of the game, right before a pivotal fourth down or a last-second field goal attempt.Comment

Kobe's press conference after he's eliminated (re: wiped out) from the NBA Finals.

Out of this group, probably the crack of the bat. I'll have to go with soccer chants I think.Comment

Re: What Is The Best Sound In Sports?

Never experienced this yet, but hopefully will this summer when I plan on going to my first Chicago Fire game. I guess my vote though to expand on crowd experience would be the national anthem at a Blackhawks game. Never been to an NHL game before this season and only lived in Chicago for 2 years so didnt know the tradition at the games. During the anthem the crowd just goes nuts, my first time at a game I was sort of surprised. Then the other 2 games I went to I was going pretty crazy too.My Teams:
 NFL - Washington Redskins
 MLB - Detroit Tigers
 NBA - Detroit Pistons
 NHL - Washington Capitals
 NCAA - Virginia Cavaliers
 NCAA - Arkansas Razorbacks
 NCAA - Michigan St SpartansComment

I disagree completely. When a ball hits the bat crisply, the whole crowd goes silent for a split second until the play develops. Even if it's a rope to the 3B for an out - that doesn't make it any less of an incredible sound. Best sound in sports.Comment

Swish of the net. Never fails. When a shot is DEAD ON, the look and sound of the net is wonderful. Always gets a good "wooooooo" reaction out of me.

That's one of the main reasons I loved watching David West play during the playoffs. His midrange was on pointXbox 360 GamertagRAW 910

It's generally the sound of contact for me.

Re: What Is The Best Sound In Sports?

During high school football, nothing was better than hitting someone hard with your shoulder pads. That crack you gets the whole crowd 'oooin.'

Especially if your a middle linebacker meeting a full back straight up in the trench full speed.

It's very rare too and might not even happen during a game to hear a really good crack.Comment

With all the Mexican fans wanting to see Cuauhtemoc Blanco, you'll be in for a treat.

I want to see an Arsenal home game, and then my life will be complete. The atmosphere there is just ridiculous.Blind to this impending fate
