Slightly amusing example of Dell bureaucracy

I just got a new Dell and a week before I got it, the computer was delayed. So I called and asked for someone to give me an ETA on it. A very nice gentleman of Indian ethnicity assisted me and then offered to call me and periodically give me a status on the machine. Every other day he'd call like clockwork and give me an update, including when the shipment went out.

Anyways, after I got the CPU I got an email from him saying the ticket was closed and if he did a good job to email his manager and let him know or take a survey. I didn't want to take the survey so I sent off a brief note to his manager telling him what a good job the guy did.

So I get home from work tonight and have received the following email from his manager, LOL!!

I just thought it was a pretty funny example of how a big company can sometimes work.
