Book Reccomendation: Sundown Times: A Hidden Dimension of American Racism

Go pick this up if you get a chance. ( http://product.half.ebay.com/Sundown...oQQprZ53559838 )
It talks about the areas back in the day that basically had written/unwritten rules that blacks had to be out of these places by Sundown. Talks about race relations.

Written by a white man, so if anyone was worried about the biases that could possibly be in this book forget about it

From the same author that wrote Lies my Teacher Told Me ( http://product.half.ebay.com/Lies-My...nfoQQprZ306829 )

I'll definitely be looking at this, Lies My Teacher Told Me is a great book.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I don't see this thread lasting long.

I never understood the reason why people felt the need to say a post won't last long.

Just recommending a book, not seeing the issue here but whatever.

I might have to pick this one up... Another couple books you might want to pick up are (which are along the same lines as this one):

Condemnation of Little B by Elaine Brown (Brown was at one point the leader of the Black Panthers, but the book is about a black kid in Atlanta who gets railroaded by the justice system.

Autobiography of a Blue Eyed Devil by Inga Muscio. It was a very eye opening experience to read. It sort of talks about how history is told by white men yadda, yadda, yadda, but I think the argument is definitely told in an interesting manner for sure. If you are sensitive to course language I would suggest staying away from this one. (This one is written by a white woman).
