    Wipeout

This show has me in tears. How in the world can you get past the Big Balls w/out going for a swim?

Is MXC still on? I liked the dubbed in commentary so much better than Wipeout's announcers.

          Re: Wipeout

it was good. at least they didn't drag it out like most game shows (ie ... american gladiators) with interviews every segment.

the only thing i would like to have seen is the first segment be in in order like ninja warrior instead of being broken apart. i know time constraints would make it hard, but they could fast forward through 10 or 15 of the lesser contestants.

            Re: Wipeout

I actually liked the show. I agree that it didn't feel "stretched" like American Gladiators. Even the commentary actually made me chuckle (THAT surprised me). I thought the events were well designed (I loved the multiple "heats" in the spinning race) with the tall guy looking like he was gonna barf everywhere.

I watched the first 5-10 minutes before leaving for work and enjoyed it. Some of the comments af the first few women took there turn were absolutely hilarius!!

I have the show Tivo'd so I'll finish watching it in the morning when I get home.

Godd stuff so far, but then again this kind of stuff/entertainment is right up my alley.

                  Re: Wipeout

I thought the show really sucked. The announcers were bland and not very entertaining. Also what's the point of going through the obstacles when you can just fall off them, and move on to the next one? Seems kind of pointless. Only thing I liked was the ending.

I liked the show and the commentary, but I do agree with your point about falling off and moving on. There should be some sort of time penalty associated with that or something. Why wouldn't someone just jump in the water immediately instead of being punched in the face and falling in? They end up at the same place either way.

I did. But sometimes the gags came so fast I didn't catch it. Or I missed the next joke trying to figure out the last one.

I wanted to see it but forgot it was coming on. I did see the show coming on after (forgot the name) and it looked stupid.

i can't believe how slow everybody was on the final challenge. the 2nd place guy from the first week had to have been bummed to see that.
