Is DeShawn Stevenson going to come to Soulja Boy's defense?

Re: Soulja Boy vs. Ice-T ?

What kind of a name is Soulja Boy lmao?

but seriously... you can't disrespect the amount that the 17-YEAR-OLD has done... started his own multi-million dollar label, and made an entire hit album off of FL Studio 7... You can't hate on that... I wish my resume at 17 looked like that... helll I wish my gravestone said all dat... That's some impressive stuff, and though he may act dumb on camera and especially on the mic (sorry Soulja Boy, your raps do suck major ***), he's probably a really intelligent kid who is making his cream... that's his focus, so let him be.

Shame on Ice-T and all the others out there who think hip-hop is dead because of Soulja Boy... OR DEAD PERIOD. You choose who you listen to... when I'm not subjected to listening to the radio, I never hear whack-*** Soulja Boy anyway, so I couldn't care less what he's doing to hip-hop (again, he's one freakin rapper).

LMAO at "actually some people still wanna hear you, but they old *** n*ggas like you too who haven't died yet"

another thing is that hip-hop isn't only what everyone sees or hears on the daily... or on the radio and BET only... it should be revered as an individual thing and how it makes the individual feel...

Ice-T is just muffed up because all the kids are listening to Soulja Boy and yeah that may be a little unsettling, but who cares WHAT THEY listen to? Ice-T... you don't have to...

it's like saying Basketball is dead if the NBA bit the dust.

Some of those thing are relevant responses, and some of those things are why we are looking at the news and wondering why the heck our country has degraded as much as it has. At any rate, I'm still a fan of music from 40s to the 80s.

Yeah that's why Spider Loc came back at him, saying stop apologizin and you don't have the whole West Coast with you on this.

Ice T.....dude just really need to sit down somewhere and enjoy all that "cake". I mean, it ain't like he was ever a good rapper. True enough, he hustled his way to some hits but even in his hey day he wasn't some lyrical genius lol. I mean he did his thing, but besides Pusher, I was like later for the dude and even then it was mainly because we were trying to rap over the beat. Now he trying to come at a kid and gets mad when the kid defends himself? He is really making himself look foolish, at least Soulja Boy has the excuse that he is still a kid. Ice-T is damn near 50 if not older.

I mean, I'd feel the same way if somebody like Rakim just came out of the fog with "Eat a dick Soulja Boy" for no reason, but damn, at least Rakim was nice on the mic. You can't tell me Ice T was nice.

I am no Soulja Boy fan either or anything, but all the hate is just silly. The little brother just trying to make music that he enjoys and all these people hating on him, basically for dancing lol. It's a sin to dance and have fun these days apparently. I guess everybody should only rap about drugs, violence and mean mug the camera in their videos. Live and let live.

This is getting stupid now. Ice-T is acting like a disgruntled manger right now. I'm sure that his son knows or has done the superman at a school dance or a party or something like that. I've lost all intrest in this "beef" now. Moving on...

This is the most overblown thing I have ever seen. This would have never been an issue if Soulja Boy didn't respond with that video. I think Ice-T was a jackass for saying what he said but dude has an opinion just like everyone else. The majority of this board will say that Soulja Boy is wack. Why is Ice-T saying the same thing any different?

He wasn't as lyrical as Rakim, but he was definately as influential. The first real MC to make drug dealing rap popular(I'm talking about telling you what the game was about), pimp rap popular, etc.
