Just got myself a new Phone

It was between that and the Blast



I decided to go with the Nokia. Before hand, i had the crappy Sidekick ID. The only reason i got that was because my little brother and sister thought it was a great phone. My family and I were switching from Cingular (AT&T) to T-Mobile. I got the Sidekick sadly and it wasn't all that great. It has no camera, no music, it was a waste of $50. However i kept for about 8 months or so.

We finally decided to add my little Brother on the line, so since i hate my Sidekick, i decided to give it to him and to get the cell phone he was originally suppose to get. I got there and those two phones were the only good ones there. Found out the Nokia is the newest one out. I also read the reviews on both phones. I got that the Blast has a better camera but the music player in the Nokia is better. The Nokia also came with a 1GB SD card and it has a radio player.

On the other hand, the Blast had free e-mail, and even though i hated the sidekick ID, i linked my University e-mail to it and it was very very helpful (specially when teachers canceled class) yet for the Nokia you have to add it as a service.

In the end, i found the Nokia to just be the better more stylized cell phone. Great reception (compared to the Blast) ok enough enough camera and a great music player.

Good choice or not?

How do you like it? I was looking at picking one up through Verizon soon. I wanted something that would fit comfortably in my pocket, but had the functionality of a PDA.

I had the Blackberry Pearl a couple months ago before i made the switch to T-Mobile, nice phone, probably a little to sophisticated. I do like my new Nokia though

so marshall how is that phone? I thought about getting it last Friday and ended up getting the Samsung t819. However that phone was a pos and I returned it two days later.

Its superb. The sound reception is awesome, but then again i have yet to purchase a phone with a bad reception so i can't really see a difference; i will admit that the voices due come out crystal clear even when i only had 1 bar.

Design wise, this is definitely one of the better phones i've had. Some may not like it because of its design though, it is very slim. However that's why i like it so much. It slides in the pocket like nothing. The outside music control is a great feature; Makes it easy to skip songs etc. The phone its self is dandy. Its easy to use, didn't have to read the manual too much and was still able to figure out the music system and how to put songs and clips on it.

The fact that it came with the 1GB SD card was pure awesomeness. That pushed me towards it over the Blast. Side note, it also has a FM radio player and comes with nice headphones.

I like it, it was a little confusing at first, but there is a site that helps you with all the blackberry stuff if you aren't used to it, www.crackberry.com. Plus they have free ringtones there, but I think all the guides and hints and shortcuts and what not they share there are fantastic. The thing is I am debating switching to the instinct since sprint has a 30 day exchange policy, and it would only cost me 30 more bucks. The Instinct is basically the sprint iphone, full internet on it, not just mobile sites. For that reason i think I am gonna switch, nothing against the pearl. I just didn't think I would be able to get such a deal on the instinct. I still would recommend the pearl to anyone, it is a great phone. And if i was on another carrier and didn't have the instinct available to me, I would be sticking with the pearl.

I switched over to the voyager on verizon and it is amazing. I love that I have navi on it plus I can watch tv on it! It almost has every channel that I watch and I didn't miss the nba draft while I was stuck at work.

Well I have the instinct now, and there are a couple features i miss from the pearl (flash on camera and video) auto correct for texting just roll for the correct word. but other than that i absolutely love the instinct. i still recommend the pearl though for anyone outside of sprint right now. its a great phone as well.
