That's exactly how I felt about the movie before I went to see it. I guess I just perceive Pixar movies to be "kid movies" and thus have little interest in them, until I remember that every Pixar movie ends up being outstanding and so much more than a "kid movie."

Yeah I keep underestimating them and then loving the movies. Both Wall-E and The Incredibles were movies that I thought would be extremely stupid but turned out to be a couple of my favorite movies.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

what did all of you think of the Magician and the cornejjjooo at the beginning?

          I like Pixar's short films.

I really liked that, and it got thumbs up from my sons as well.

I still haven't sat down and watched Ratatouille, maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Really good movie. Not really a kids movie, the theater was full of kids and very few of them were as excited at any point during the movie as they were during the Magic Hat short that came on first. It is up there with The Incredibles for my favorite Pixar movie.

My sons (7 and 6) were very much into it and since we saw it at the theater, they've been been burning up the bootleg.

My only negative from seeing this movie is that I am going to have to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua, they've been annoying the hell out of me with that friggin song ever since they saw the preview. I keep trying to push Bolt onto them but they won't budge, that chihuahua put some kind of spell on them.

Dude, you CANNOT go with your kids to see that movie, for both your sake and the sake of your children. That is going to be a painfully terrible movie.

I know, but seriously, not a day has gone by since they saw the preview where they don't express interest in seeing the movie. I remember groaning when I saw the preview, I knew where it was headed. I'll probably just ask their mother to take em' when it comes down to it.

Really enjoyable movie. I like how the minimal use of dialogue really forced the animators to emote with Wall-e and the other characters. Visually fantastic of course, and one of Pixar's deeper and most interesting stories. It's hard to rank Pixar films as they're so consistent but this one is right up there with Finding Nemo, Toy Story, and Ratatouille for me. Though I will add that this may be the least accessible of the Pixar films for the kids, though most will like it enough.

I will jump on the dislike for Cars bandwagon. It wasn't bad, but I regret purchasing it as it just didn't appeal to me. Some of the scenes do look amazing in HD though.

You know, that's pretty much exactly what I said at the theater.
