T-Mobile Users...

My contract is running out and I'm looking to get a new phone, most preferably a smart phone, like a Blackberry or something along those lines. I saw the new Blackberry Curve is getting a lot of high ratings, and can hook up to wireless internet at home where you can call people for free through the internet, which seems pretty cool.

Anybody got suggestions?

I have a BlackBerry Pearl and my friend has the curve we both really like them. From what I've seen of his I like the full keyboard and his internet is nice.

I'd suggest holding off if you can until September. I work at T-Mobile (for a couple weeks more any ways) and I can tell you they have a big promotion planned for then. One of the things that will be introduced is UMA enabled phones. Without going into the technology of what those are it's basically a phone that will work off of the internet. Why is that good? Because minutes you use on UMA will not count toward your regular minutes. Think of it like when you use your home phone you aren't tracked minutes-wise. So you'll set up your phone to work off of your wireless router so that when you're at home you can use your cell phone as much as you want without having to even have a regular land line anymore.

I have no idea of any special promotions or what phones they might have. All I know is every since February they've been talking about how "September" is the big month and whatnot for promotions and especially this new UMA technology.

I've got a curve and love it. Bonus is with Wi-Fi that if you can connect to a network you don't get charged for any minutes used while on it.

Well. Since your contract is ending. I'd suggest switching to AT&T and picking up the new iPhone on July 11th. You'll never want to use and ordinary phone again!
