Dumb VGA cable question

I'm having a major brain fart right now...

My friend has a laptop and a LCD HDTV, but no DVD player...I know her laptop has VGA out, and the TV has a VGA port, so I'd like to let her know exactly what cable to get at Monoprice (way cheaper than any store)...

The brain fart is that I am locking up on male/female, which type to get for this situation. I think it'd be male to female, but my mind's so jacked thinking about it that I wanted to ask and figured someone here would have a clear answer. I don't want to tell her to get the wrong cable and not have it work...

I'm almost positive it's gonna be a standard VGA cable. Male to male. Hit Fn+F8 on your keyboard to synch them.

I have my laptop hooked up to my Vizio lcd hdtv using VGA. You'll need a male to male audio cable as well (standard headphone jack ends).
