Will seems to be really good at showing some depth to a character without having to explain how he feels. Hancock never said anything about how he felt with everybody ****ting on him but Will did a good job of showing that he actually did care about his image.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -

Re: Hancock
I want to watch this movie so bad but I have my nephew here for two weeks. I refuse to take him to the movies cause he'll talk my head off the whole time. Was just thinking that Will Smith has really come a long way from that rapper joint he was in the 90s. Wow, I would have never thought it.Comment

I thought it was fantastic. Will Smith has yet to entirely dissapoint me. This movie had a lot of action and comedic relief to boot, and that is a great mix for hollywoodCharger Fan Born and Raised!

Re: Hancock
Yea, I read a review from a local paper and it was very confusing. The guy talked about the movie being bad and did nothing but praise Will Smith, Hancock, and the story.
He did say that he didn't like how the story changes more than half way in. And I can understand that. The story does change and I'm going to guess that if anyone here doesn't like it it's going to be because of this.
I definitely thougth the first half was better than the second but the second half wasn't bad. It actually helped you undertsand the first half even more. Though, the reviewer said it was full of plot holes. I'm not sure how a story about a super hero with an origin that no one knows about can have plot holes. It's called revealing the past. It doesn't matter if you thought his past should have been different."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Hancock
I read your comment as 50 minutes or something because I remember someone saying it was really short.
Now I look at it and my response was pretty stupid.
You: Is it really only 80 minutes?
Me: Nah, it's longer than that. It's about 90 minutes!
Wow. I want to smack myself for that one."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Hancock
saw it yesterday. not bad. will smith has a thing for making you wanna cry though. his last four movies he's been doin that to me. Jason Bateman does a good job and Charlize Theron is a babe. i didnt realize is was her til the end of the movie. wonder if ther will be a sequel. OK NOW BRING ON THE DARK KNIGHT!!!!...I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...Comment

Here's the problem w/entertainment critics, batting coaches, political advisors etc. They treat their profession like its a haiku. Re: Hancock
In my opinion this is what keeps the movie from being better than just O.K. The script is all over the map, trying to do too many different things at once, and as a result doing all of them in a mediocre fashion. The movie never seems to hammer away at one genre for too long. It's always throwing drama, comedy, and action at you at different intervals and for a reasonable amount of time.
The three main stars(four, if you count the kid) do a fine job of acting, its just that they aren't given enough to work with. In fact only a superstar of Will Smith's caliber could drag this material up to respectability.Jordan Mychal Lemos
